Subject: RE: sustainability

David, I understand where you are coming from. The key to the whole discussion is maintaining and opening markets for our farm products. There would not be a discussion if foreign governments and large corporations were not asking for or demanding some sort of sustainability requirements. Right now there are discussions with the European Union that could cut our soy oil exports in half. That would directly affect our bottom line.

The reason for NISA is it is the only farmer led initiative, it is working on the whole farm aspect, and it is trying to help farmers improve their operations. We are trying to use the advances we have already made in being sustainable.

Maybe the terminology should be "More Sustainable".

Chuck
