NW Washington | Hydraulic motors are usually sized by their displacement per rotation in cubic inches. Generally a larger displacement will give you a slower rotation and more torque with a given oil flow rate. Start with oil flow rate available from your pump and desired maximum rpm. Then select a motor displacement that will give you what you want. On some motors the gerotor section can be changed to give different displacements. If you have the part or model number of the motor you can probably find the motor specs on the web or at a hydraulic shop. There is some info in the Northertool and Surplus center catalogs too., http://www.surpluscenter.com/hydraulic.asp
