Southern MD | This was our first year planting milo. Planted all pioneer 84G62 doubled cropped behind barley. Very pleased with the performance. But this variety is a little too long season for our area to be double cropped. just started combining monday and its running 17-18% moisture. it was planted june 15th. next year we plan to plant some 84G62 full season but am looking for a shorter season variety to plant behind wheat and barley. wanted to know if anyone had any p or dk varieties they liked. Planting milo to spread risk as 3/5 years moisture is our limiting factor for corn. | |
