I have home rendered lard in a poly container in the fridge and it is at least 1 year since I brought it up from the freezer, used some last week to grease a cookie sheet for oatmeal choctlate chip cookies. I also have a tub of Hormel processed lard on the kitchen shelves that is about a year old and it doesn't require refrigeration, so I guess my answer is greater than a year, less than a millenium.
