| Most guys could probably trim 30-40% off their equipment costs and not effect their production. You, in another thread, basically said that you prefer to pay for the luxury of running newer stuff. The lower cost producer doesn't consider "luxury" or "convenience" a necessary crop production expense. Not saying that anyone has to be the low cost producer if they don't want to be, but don't complain about the guy who is being able to do more things financially because he has an extra $80/acre. I bought a "luxury (for me at least)" tractor once. I regret it every time I make the payment. Would I do it again? Maybe.
