We need to remember that we still import beef from other countries. The herds have expanded in Brazil and Australia the last few years and higher prices will continue that trend, probably Canada too. Now there are some poor pastures in South American going to soybeans this as they think the return from beans will finance their ability to improve their pasture soils. Mexico has drought problems of their own. High prices tend to fixs things quicker than one might expect.
