Fort Morgan, CO		Had 2 9770s on the harvest crew I was on (among others), one with a MacDon 976 (36') and the other with a JD 640D (40'). The JD was a dual sickle and could go a consistent 2 mph faster than the MacDon. Now if the MacDon had that I'm sure it would cut just as fast. Another nice thing about the Deere was the ability to change the angle of the deck but that's not a deal breaker. Don't think you can really go wrong with either, dealer service being the biggest deciding factor.
