So the base station power or line of sight is no longer an issue if I upload to the internet, right?
Remember that line-of-sight and broadcast strength might not be an issue, but you will still have a loss of accuracy at the rover as you get farther from the base. Within your 8mi radius from the base, you can expect "RTK-level" accuracy (i.e. sub-inch). Beyond 8mi, your accuracy will drop off due to the rover and base not seeing the same satellites. GLONASS can help with this issue, as it puts more sats in view. Just don't expect to go 20mi from the base and still see 1-inch accuracy. |
