Subject: How can you get a weak cow out of a pond?

North Central Alabama
I found one of my brood cows down this afternoon. She would get up but very woobly and fall back down. She is about 7 months bred and only about 6 years old.I called the vet out he showed up about dark.He gave her calciumn through a IV and also gave her a anti-flamatory.We got her up and he said she had nerve damage in her feet and legs.He gave me a 50 50 chance she would come out of it enough to sell. She either had a injury or something inside pressing on her nerves.Well when he left she staggered down the hill and fell into my shallow pond,
I am at a loss on how to help her out of the pond by myself.I have a backhoe but it just rained a 1 1/2" this morning and it is very slipperly around the pond not to mention it is a steep slope to the pond.
I guess i will be burying her tommorow. If i could only get her out of the pond she may have a chance.
What kind of a harness could i have used?
