Maybe it started out as 60 and with erosion the rock outcrops showed up and effectively making it 46?
I once had a farm I rented that the FSA said had 200 tillable acres on it, but I could only find 160. This was based on the paper, photo-copied-many-times maps generated in 1990, I believe. This was updated in the mid-2000's with the Common Land Units we have today.
