Eastern North Carolina | All Dressta branded machines come from the same factory located in Stalowa Wola, Poland, some 250 km south-east of Warsaw.
The plant was established in 1937 as a source of military equipment, but in time, thanks to a series of licencing agreements, it transformed into one of the major manufacturers of construction equipment in Central Europe known as Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW).
Among its licensors were Jones Cranes, Coles Cranes, Clark Equipment, Stetter GmbH and the most important of these – International Harvester. Upgraded over the years so as to keep up with modern day customers’ expectations as well as environment protection regulations, Dressta bulldozers and wheel loaders still carry in them the ingenious design simplicity and sturdiness of the legendary International Harvester hardware.
In 2012 the plant was acquired by Liugong Guangxi Machinery and renamed Liugong Machinery Poland. Through access to the Chinese market and the new owner’s vast resources, the acquisition ensured increase in manufacturing volume and efficiency, marking a new stage in the company’s history..
