No, the house has vinyl siding over lap siding, over 1x6's diagonal. The house is kind of a "balloon frame" construction with very few studs or posts. One room was conventional studs. I unzipped the vinyl siding about half way up, and again at the top of the wall, and blew the bottom full first, and then the top. In the kitchen, we were putting in new cabinets anyway, so I did that from the inside, then covered the holes with the cabinets. I just used as standard insulation blower with an adapter to go into a 1" hole. The insulation has to be broken up really well or it will plug. I've done worse jobs.
