Subject: RE: Insulating an old house

Man, I don't really wanna tear walls out. I guess I just want insulation, not re-do or remodel.

House was built in '39. Inside walls are drywall (sheetrock). They are nice walls. I think was remodeled in 1980 before our time. I don't know about 2x4 or 2x6, how can I tell? The windows are mostly Anderson and Vinyl Pro. They seem ok but again how do I know for sure? I have to check the attic to see how much insulation is in there. Our house is a Cape Cod if that helps.

Do they put insulation in from the outside?
