285 TG NewHolland has the same issue, there is an electric solenoid valve under the seat had it looked at and fixed several times by NH folks, we have been using the small valve up by the exhaust manifold shut the heat off when we do not need heat, it does the trick but it is very annoying, thinking of plumbing a hand valve in beside the seat.
Other than that 4000 hours without any problems.
MX270 just blows heat. Is there a way to turn it off?
