Subject: Cover Crop Pics - Follow up to Trial Results

Pics are from the established plots in Fall of 2011, at spraying out time in the first part of November, and then at planting late April 2012. These should give an idea what things looked like and how the plot was laid out. For those of you that didn't see my previous posts with yield data, I had 3 reps, split field into two plots at an old fence-line so I could have 2 Nitrogen rates, and had strips of no cover (all after w. wheat), tillage radish at 8 lbs/a and mix of radish at 3 lbs/a, oats at 29 lbs/a and sudax at 5 lbs/a. As you can see the sudax is absent since it was killed off by frost at the end of Sept and only got 8-12" tall. Covers were planted on Aug 29th, 2011. Wanted them in a few weeks earlier but was waiting for the poultry manure guys to get the manure applied first.
