...I think you can also make a case that fuel with some algae in it will gell much sooner than fresh fuel. We've almost never ran straight Number 2 diesel on this farm. Always have used Sohio and now BP's premium diesel, and really can say we've never experienced a gelling problem. I guess I'd be concerned about gelling below zero. If I had an operation that demanded tractor use daily...I would mix some Power Service with each tankload of fuel, not into the bulk tank here. Our temperatures rarely go below zero for any length of time. Making it easier on the tractor from the get go is a recipe for reliability and less hassles in my book.
