Yes my stratification is in the top couple inches.

That link is very interesting. It states numerous times that its very drainable... this is not what i am seeing. It is quite hard to get this farm to let go of water.

I have not done any tissue samples on this farm... i have been focusing on building soil fertility recently. I have just been surprised with how tight it is.

Last it was sampled was two years ago and the ph was good... 6.8 ave i believe. It will get grid sampled next fall on my current rotation.
