Oklahoma | You hit the nail on the head. Oklahoma State has some research done that says at humidity levels lower than 25% you have a 100% chance of a spot fire. Also a rule of thumb they taught us was that for every 20 degree temp increase the RH is cut in half. So if it was 60 degrees with 20% RH at ignition time and then it warms up to 80......guess what.
Very poor fire boss especially if they were just wanting to clear out some understory.
