| I dribble 6 gal/a of 10/34/0 with seed. I've been told no more than 10 gal/a or you can hurt seed. I would recommend a ground drive pump for your fert. Stay away from a electrical pump, elec and fert don't mix long term. Also, stay away from a speed metered system. I like to drive slower along fences, power lines and when you drive slower than normal, your rate is all goofed up. Use a separate drive for pump and for seed population. I would also use a red ball type manifold to monitor fert flow to each row. I have a 500 gal tank on planter and also 2/250 saddle tanks. I don't fill them most of the time, but it's nice to have that option on occasion. | |
