I had no idea this was possible. My wife bought an external keyboard for the iPad she has on the way and it came before the iPad. We gave it a shot on the phone and it works great. I'm getting a kick out of it. I'm not sure how practical it is to carry a keyboard around for typing emails on your phone, but I would almost consider keeping one in the pickup now that I know it's an option.

Do any of you find it worthwhile to keep an external keyboard handy for your phones?
