Near-north Ontario, French River
Denny, hows the elevator system holding up in Mich? Here(SW Ont) the end users ( distillery, 3 E-plants, feed mills, large cargil and adm terminals) are all jammed full, that's backing things up into the countryside so all the commercial elevators/co-ops are piling corn any place they can. Even farmers with on farm storage have almost ground to a halt as they can't get shipment of dry corn. For the first time in a long time there's lots of corn heading into Michigan/Ohio out of Ontario. We finished corn yesterday but still have 700bu of wet corn ( only 18%) sitting on wagons, local elevator says it may be mid next week before they can make enough space to finish out the crop. We still have 80 acres or so of soys out, 40 of our own 40 custom work, with rain in the forecast we are heading north for a week of deer hunting. :-)
