Subject: RE: I asked about used grain bin $

Southeast Wyoming

They were probably sold as 4500 bushel bins and are a perfect size for our operation.  Typical wheat yield is 20 to 30 bushels per acre so we can isolate wheat from 160 acres at a time.  Moving augers is a pain but keeping grain isolated has some advantage.

We have moved in 4 of them (Butler brand) over the last 10 years (bought longer ago than that, just took a long time to get time to move them 4 miles).  We were able to move them fully assembled so that saves on the cost.  Price seems pretty high if you have to tear them down and reassemble.
