We lose tags all the time. Use z tags. Very little feeding done in bale feeders as we feed a lot of silage in tires or cement bunks. The RFID tags aren't even worth putting in til we sell an animal anymore, as by the time they are 3-4 years old the back of the button has cracked all apart and it falls out.
