onida, south dakota | not sure if it will happen for beans............but if we are we probably need to see some of the following happen
stable outside markets and economies........fiscal cliff resolution...........that gives fund managers the idea of risk on attitude............not risk off
bullish headline for the funds.............either super strong demand or a weather scare in South America
perhaps strong demand the leads to a squeze waiting for the SAM crop
i think plenty of upside potential is out there...........but for it to happen we really need to get the funds back on the long side...........i don't know that demand by it self can push prices high enough
for corn to really rally we need to see some export business pick up...............which could happen with the small wheat crops around the world...........but we also need to see the end users...........ethanol plants and feed users able to make money when buying corn............if we don't curb enough demand there is plenty of upside potential..................but we also need the funds involved if we really want to rally to huge numbers.............demand by itself doesn't feel like it can take us.........we need the funds pushing things up..........leading to panic buying from end users to get coverage............
