A lot of guys got permanently messed up. We have a local guy who was in the 1st Armored Division who got part of his stomach shot away. This happened in North Africa. He has been in a Veterans home since WW2 and now has alzheimers and he is in his 90s. He worked for my dad in the late 30s. Jim J
