Near-north Ontario, French River
+2. My brother always used to get into debates with guys regarding test weight. Brother always said he didn't care that much about test weight, as you sell corn by the tonne not by volume. Guys would complain that their 180bu corn crop( variety A) was low in test weight, then grumble that their 170 bu corn( variety B) had higher test weight LOL. Then they would proceed to say they would never grow variety A again because of the low test weight. Go figure ! Only drawback of low test weight corn, besides grade discounts, is that you can't get as many tonnes of low test weight corn into a bin as compared to high test weight corn.
