Thanks for your reply's. the FWA option sounds like it may be ok. Changing tracks would likely make a difference but whether it's enough thats the unknown.
I have a mate with a cat 55 that put new tracks on and he said its day and night.

We bale mainly oaten hay for export, most guys seed with some kind of air drill with packer wheels. its common to cut the hay accross or at an angle to the direction of seeding so the hay sits nicely up on the stubble, this can make baling rough because you are travelling across all the little furrows. I thought the MT would be the duck's nuts and it would just ride across the tops but its the roughest of all, it feels every furrow and just rattles all day/night.
