Best disk for breaking sod. Pretty much indestructable.

Well, almost indestructable. We've run through two 18' Wisheks now. I just welded up part of the frame on our newer one last week. It's still by far the best (possibly only?) tillage tool for our REALLY rocky ground.

Our dealer used to stock 14' and 16' disks. When I told the salesman to order me an 18', he tried to talk me out of it saying that it would take 300hp to pull and would have no resale. I pointed out that the new rowcrop tractors he was selling had 300hp. Resale on our first disk was good since there were not many used 18' disks out there. Now the dealer stocks 16' and 18' disks.

We pull our 18' with an 8770 Deere; the 8130 doesn't stand a chance if you pull the stops and let the disk work. Throw a set of packers behind a Wishek and you have a finishing disk here...
