Most all vfd's can run on single phase input and put out 3 phase if they are double size rated. The exception is if the drive has a phase loss monitor that can't be turned off. Some vfd's are dedicated to only single phase input. Those don't need to be derated.

If you are using them for ventilation and air handling, google fan on vfd or air handling and vfd. Read for an hour. There is potential for large saving on power used.

If you are in central Iowa, there is a shop at ISU, Iowa energy center, that has meetings about energy savings. Sometimes, they have presenters talking about vfd's. It has never been handy for me to go to one but I want to.
