| Had the same thing happen to me with a 1480. Don't bother with the two piece axles. Neighbor talked me into using a new two piece axle because the dealer had one and it was new. Two years later the cap screw (this axle had only one instead three cap screws) the screw backed out and the hub worked itself off the splines and dropped the final drive into the wheel rim. The new style is a one piece forging, no cap screws. Peace of mind. I now have them on both sides. | |
