Not sure if this is the same application as your's - we run a JD 730 Air Disk drill with a 9150. 9150 has no trouble running the fan - but if we leave constant down pressure( as called for in the book) - we get a fair bit of surging showing on the fan RPM. Once we saw that I went to the Open Center operating suggestion (even though tractor is closed centre..)- which is to just periodically hit the remote lever as I'm going down the field.... I can't see the pressure gauge on the drill frame from the tractor (even with an ag cam on the back of the drill tank) - & I've thought of trying to come up with a remote gauge - but in this application the drill "seems" to be running fine as far as down pressure goes....

....Is that an option? - do you have a pressure gauge that shows downpressure? Worst case a $300.00 Ag Cam would be less than trying to rig a separate pump and control for depth/fans...

For what its worth....
