if you don't tell them, you loose the right to plant their traits....ever remember signing a monsanto liscense agreement? or an agreement with pioneer, or syngenta? you signed up for them to have the right to ask.....and you no tell, you no get their traits.....that simple....might be a pain but its what we have to do....or plant conventionals
