Subject: your experience sidedressing N on corn

Minneapolis, MN
A brother, who is a dairyman in NY, and I are working on new technology for sidedressing N on corn. We are particularly focused on situations when the crop may have gotten too tall to get in with a toolbar system, yet a high-clearance system isn't available or affordable. I'm thinking about doing a formal survey at some point, but for now, would welcome any and all thoughts.

Do you sidedress some/all of your corn acreage? If not, why not? Do you worry about being able to get on the field with a toolbar system? Etc.

If any of you would be up for chatting on the phone for a few minutes about this topic, I'd be grateful.

Thanks!
