Like one tech told me, he should have been a doctor, the body has been the same since day one, everybody has the same parts and you can pick and choose what you want to specialize in. And if you can't figure out the problem send the patient to a specialist and grab a new one. All you have to do is keep up with all the new drugs so you can get a nice kickback and make more $.
Him on the other hand has to know everything from the drawbar pin to the front weights which includes powertrain, hyd, electrical, a/c, ams, and engine. And also work on 30 yr old machines and new ones.
Imagine if the ag world was like the medical field where you had specialists, there would be a lot of machines sitting waiting for the right tech to come along.
