Subject: Magnum 305 problem

cental pa along the Susquehanna River
Was using the 305 last night when a code came on the post "low altenator voltage". Voltage reading is running 11.8- 12.3 on the post when beeping. Then it started throwing a code about pto fault. I thought maybe altenator going bad but even with lights on they were not going dim. Then the pto quit working it would just shut off. So I quit for the night took tractor to the shop and parked it. So I thought well if altenator is going bad the batteries probably will be low and won't start but I hit the key and she started right up and the lights are still bright. Any ideas what it is or where to start? When I restarted the tractor it was still beeping low voltage output and pto fault even though I did not touch the pto switch.
