The R62 with the cummins had a Delco 15si, 105amp , Lester Number 7853
In 1998 they used the Delco 21SI, 130amp, Lester 8017.
We are rebuilders and certainly would replace it with the Delco. Just go to any rebuild shop and price a lester 7853 or a 8017. It will cost a fraction of the dealer price. Brand new , no core charge. I dont have pricing in front of me right now.
