Thanks, John. I will check with my local J.D. dealer in the morning. It is much smaller around than the original Delco was. I had to slightly alter one of the alternator brackets and use a different serpentine belt, but it has been a really good alternator.




Their a great long lived alternator. Mine on the 4450 failed because of corrosion damage on the regulator terminals in the alternator. My first intent was to rebuild it, but I found no aftermarket parts avalible to fix it, plus being very expensive.
I set it on a shelf and replaced it with a Delco 12SI I rebuilt for the purpose. It does the job on that tractor for about 20% of the cost to replace the Nippondenso, and is a bolt on replacement as mounts and wiring are identical.
