IL. | Ok here I go again with the money pit, I bought a obsolete grain cart awhile back, when I got it home and tried it the gear box was out of it, so after a lot of anger and hate I got the auger out, but in the process I destroyed the gear box didn't really matter it was bad anyway, so while out I had the bottom auger reflighted, looked great! put it all together and could not get the gear box to line up with the mounts (bought a new gear box exactly the same as the old one) turned the shaft and WOW the auger shaft is bent!!! now I know why the box was knocked out, well this money pit never stops! Now I am looking for a NEW bottom auger, what brand uses a 12" auger tube (11" auger) , the center tube has a 1 1/2" stub shaft that a carrier bearing runs on and attached to inside of tube by two 1/2" bolts, man the thing sure wasnt the deal I thought it was there has to be another brand that used this size auger, HELP !!!Bob | |
