My understanding is from people that have traveled there. I have not been. Anyway, our standard 2 lane road would be a 4 lane highway there. Also, hit a cow and the crowd will drag you out of the car in order to beat you to death. Elephants and cows have right of way and travel in any lane they wish.

Much of the rural area people still heat and cook with cow manure. Cow craps and half the people in sight run to collect it. By hand....
