Saskatchewan | It's the pure BS that the organic industry markets to the public with. Your industry tries to stand out to consumers by soiling (no pun intended) the conventional farmers. I can only comment on dry-land farming practices because thats where I'm from...
... Does anyone remember dust storms growing up? Funny how they are a rare occurance now in the no-till age. How can your industry claim "sustainibility" and "environmental friendlyness" by pulvarizing your soils and causing dirty thrities style erosion? And I know no-till organic farming exists in some parts of the world, but it doesn't in the semi-arid prairies.
I have nothing against the organic farmers trying to make a living. I have the problem with the marketing machine. That's all. | |
