Mandan ND | Bought a SDX30 with a 2400 air tank. Question for winter project. Thinking about adding a tank on the front to put down 46-0-0 instead of spreading it. Looking at about 65-70 bushel size. Concord has 35 bushel size not big enough. I know that this has been done but I would like pictures. Thinking about dropping the fert. right in front of the disc. Just a thought sure would speed things up.
Second question. I would pull this with a 5488 MFWD at about 4.5 mph. With the extra weight is it possible. Right now I have a 8100 Flexi-Coil 30 ft and have no problems it has a 1330 cart. So the SDX has a 110 bushel bigger cart. Plus if I do the add ons.
Third question if I put the third tank on would I need to beef up the draw bar.
5488 is set a 215 HP could be turned up to 245.
