north west arkansas | I really haven't kept up with it, but usually it takes a storm in the gulf to break a drought here. Honestly though after watching every storm get swallowed up by the high pressure system last year I haven't really held much hope. I have been on the losing side of a tropical system also though. We were extremely dry in 1998 and had very little crop, and on sept. 8 we had a tropical system drop 8 inches of rain with heavy wind and what little crop we had was pretty well ruined. | |
