With a 4840, you'll probably never tow it, but if you do, make sure you shift the transmission disconnect (tow) lever into tow position. Only trans. problem we have had with our '67 4020 is when I forgot to shift to tow when towing it on the road. Within a half mile, I felt a jerk on the pickup, and I knew what I had done.
