ours do that as well - it's usually the distance from where the clutch is at to where the engagement click is at internally. - looks like about 1 ft at most on the ground at times. Probably amounts to 1/2 bag of seed for the whole season at most. It hasn't hit the "wakes me up at 4am" list yet so I haven't worried about it.
