IMO, unless you already have the 34xx head or a line on one I would go with a 32xx head. We ran one for one yr on a 2388. The 32xx head is the same as the 3400 except has a two speed gearbox to change speed on the head whereas the 3400 doesn't as it's designed for a combine with variable speed feeder houses. We later put the 3200 on a 7010 but IIRC we had to buy an adapter to make it work. It was around $2,500 in 2009. We were also told to only hookup to the low side on the gearbox and use the combine's variable spd feeder house to change head speeds.
