In windy conditions I like putting my nozzles lower to the ground but just above the wheat and cotton canopy for better sread pattern. Works very well in corn being under the upper leaves. Mine are LDN spray nozzles on hoses that are about 5' (1 1/2 meters) from ground level spaced about 9' apart.
