North Iowa | We've had stompers with poly, and without. I would not spend a dime more for the poly, no matter what kind of soil we have - the stompers hardly ever touch the soil, they are riding on the surface of the stalks they are "stomping" and not the soil so much. Our last set (without poly) was getting rounded on the edge of the stomper, but not to the point of getting sharp, and that head harvested just under a thousand acres a row.
