Ok, well not to overstep my bounds, since you have more years than I, but have you two sat down and looked at what you have for disposable income, if it exists, etc? If so, I'd say split it evenly, you're both half the pieces to the union of marriage. That's the way my wife and I look at it, although from the outside it doesn't appear that way. Right now we're investing in our future farm but also spending a little extra (ranch horse prospects, she's particular to say the least), and same for cattle dog, but in a year or two when we have something more permanent for living conditions then I'll be able to invest more heavily in tools. I guess what I'm trying to say is what goes around comes around. Just have to be on both sides of the window to see the whole picture.
