Ontario
Great discussion guys!

Coup makes a point that is on my mind for a while. We have to get the prices of livestock to the right level. (No easy task, I fully admit.)

How to split the pie... fairness... For both crop failure & good crop years?

I am in the "grain is whatever you can make out of it camp!"; however.

Ethanol, Distillers, Feed, Food, etc.

As a example:

I burn it in corn stoves for 2 houses instead of LP,as well. Its worth $10.00/bu as heat, even at the bulk (grain dryer price.)

Some will say corn MAY hit $10.00/bu this year? Why would I change, consider putting in another heating source for one year?

Do I think corn will hit $10? Doubt it. (Before someone asks, or I get jumped on.)

And... its something I produced! (Does not come from another country.) Kind of neat feeling sitting by the stove in the winter time!

Yes, I do have a oil furnace for backup & away times, BTW!
