Saronville NE | Do you follow thru with the punishment? Like if she runs off and you scold her, do you follow thru with the punishment? I see that happen too often, the parents scold but dont follow thru with the punishment, my daughter knows when she acts up with me she will get a spanking. I mean you have to let kids be kids to a point, but you also want to have them be well mannered and behave in public. I just shake my head at the timeout crap, IMO its a joke. You asked how you handle it in public, with me she acts up, I dont care if I have a ways to the pickup, she will get drug back to the pickup and get the discipline if needed, you gotta take the time to do it to show them you will follow thru. Most of the time my daughter will get a firm hand on her arm and warned not to do something and that is all thats needed anymore (notice I say most of the time). I still say follow thru with discipline is the biggest promblem with most parents nowadays. Hope you have better luck in the future. | |
